I have bumped this up as my medical reminder came through. Booked appointment - very efficient company to deal with. |

I got an automatic notification from the DVLA about the renewal, enclosing the official medical form to be completed. Jill |

Thanks Jill, Thats a lot cheaper than our local doctor. Did you get an automatic notification from DVLA or do you have to remember to do it yourself? Patti |

I am in the process of renewing my HGV licence, which, in the case of us ‘more mature’ drivers, entails having a medical. I did what I have done previously and phoned my GP’s practice (as well as a few others in the local area) and was horrified to discover that the cost of the medical was £100 plus £15 VAT - extortionate! So I went on the internet and found Cotswold Medicals who do nothing but drivers’ medicals and operate all over the country. A couple of days ago I had my medical (which took all of 15 minutes!) at a total cost of £49 (paid at the time of booking)! They were very helpful and efficient and I would highly recommend them. Their website is www.driversmedicals.com, email OH@cotswoldmedicals.co.uk, and phone number 0870 6091540. I hope this information is of help to others. |
