Last night I watched for the first time the National Championships DVD produced by Jackie Herd and shown earlier this month on TV. It is fantastic - I wasn't able to go to Windsor this year but having watched the DVD I feel as if I was there and experienced all the action first hand. It has fired me up with enthusiasm for the new season. Some parts are particularly worth watching - such as the side by side comparisons of top competitors going round an obstacle and the birds eye view of Karen Bassett's hands working the team reins in an obstacle - things you never get the chance to see in 'real time'.
Today I was speaking to someone who is interested in taking up driving trials in the future and who wanted to know more about the sport. I showed her Jackie's video and she was hooked! Perhaps clubs might use it to help bring in new competitors?
Well done to Jackie and Tim. |
