Thanks Mike, I thought it may be that but didn't wish to assume. Thanks for explaining it to me |

Dawn, it probably indicates which phases a horse was used in. Teams can choose any 4 of 5 declared horses for each competition (rule 919.2.2) so different horses can be used in A, B and C. (Dressage, marathon, cones). Same for pairs/tandems choosing 2 of 3. So for example: EMIR JOHN [BC]; FAVORY [ABC]; KOKO [ABC]; MORPHEUS [AC]; ZEUS [AB] should mean: Competition A: FAVORY [ABC]; KOKO [ABC]; MORPHEUS [AC]; ZEUS [AB] Competition B: EMIR JOHN [BC]; FAVORY [ABC]; KOKO [ABC]; ZEUS [AB] Competition C: EMIR JOHN [BC]; FAVORY [ABC]; KOKO [ABC]; MORPHEUS [AC] Seems to add up - 4 horses for each competition at any rate... |

Having been out of touch with HDT for a while I got confused by the letters ABC after each horses name in the Sandringham results. Could someone explain what these letters are for. I thought they may be to say that horse competed in all three phases but then noticed in the teams not all the horses had all three letters against their name confusing me more. Thanks Dawn |
