It is very sad that once again, at short notice, we have lost another event, but with a possible outbreak of Foot and Mouth Nr Salisbury the landowner felt that this was too close for comfort and rightly so.
I would like to thank all those competitors who had entered, the stewards who had volunteered their services and the many companies who gave superb prizes for the classes, all of which will be contacted to discuss what should happen to these. Thankfully the Club will not be too out of pocket as the venue fee included many of the necessary amenties, loos, water etc.. We shall be able to use the rosettes and trophies at a later date as thankfully they are not dated!
I also thank our hard working committee who were on the verge of bringing this event together, particularly to Steve Lucas and Anthony Cooper who spent all last weekend on site preparing the obstacles and marathon.
We look forward to seing everyone at our events outdoors next year or indoors through the winter season, and hope for a better year next year. |
