We got a load of roadworks uprights and panels as a job lot from ebay. Make sure they are local as you will probably have to collect them! You can find the obstacle maps we use indoors at www.indoordriving.co.uk, click on the "for organisers" link at the extreme bottom right of the screen, designed by Mike Watts, national probationary course designer, and free to use! Set them at 2.5 - 3m wide for the gates, as you wish. Also photos of our obstacles (in use) are on www.mikewatts.com. Let us know how you get on? If you have lots of money, contact Steve Lucas for a set of fabulous Olympia-style obstacles! |

Roadworks are very useful as well (like the indoor comps use). Great for building light weight post and rails. They can be purchased but not sure where. If you tried a local utility company (such as Clancy Docwra) I'm sure they could tell you where they source them |

Ask your local arable farmers about empty Propcorn barrels (big blue or green plastic drums). Farmers have to pay to dispose of them nowadays, so are usually happy to give them away. Half fill them with water or sand - you can make lots of different types of obstacle with a dozen or so barrels (clock face, straight line, grid, big cross). |

Does anyone know where I can purchase obstacles to practice at home. Everything we make seems to fall apart! |
