The FEI World Pair Driving Championships in Fábiánsebestyén, Hungary, has changed dates. The World Championships will take place two weeks later, from 10 to 13 September 2015.

This is the week after the FEI World Pony Driving Championships, which will take place from 2 to 6 September in Breda, the Netherlands.

Note: qualifying dressage scores must be obtained at International events.

No selection forms have been received by BC Office to date.

If you are intending to stand for selection, POINTS FROM LOWTHER WILL NOT COUNT unless a completed selection form has been submitted to the Office BEFORE the Event.

The 2015 FEI World Pairs Championships will take place from 27th til 30th August 2015 at Fabiansebestyen in Hungary.

Team GBR Selection events are Lowther 2014, Ashfields 2015, Hopetoun 2015, Sandringham 2015 and Catton 2015. Three out of five results will count. Please note eligible drivers must notify their wish to be considered for selection to the BC Office BEFORE the start of the first event they wish to count.

FEI qualification requires two successfully completed events with dressage score of 65 points or less, of which one must be in the same year as the Championships.

Derrick Mayes has indicated his wish to retire as Chef D'Equipe. Derrick has put many years and many miles into supporting the Horse Pairs Class and I feel we all owe him a great deal of gratitude for his enthusiasm, his organisational skills and his ability, both at home and abroad. He will be a hard act to follow.

Boyd Exell will not be available for Team trainer. Anja Walker will also not be available.

Therefore, we are seeking nominations for a new Chef D'Equipe, team trainer and vet for Hungary 2015. Obviously, the earlier these posts are filled, the more seamless the transition and the greater the support which can be given to our drivers and their horses. Derrick is more than willing to assist and guide the new Chef D'Equipe wherever possible.
