Think my bucket list would include · Drive a team of horses ! · Drive a proper scurry pair of ponies, like the ones at HOYS ! Little pocket rockets ! · Drive at the Royal Welsh in the private driving · Drive at Great Yorkshire in the private driving · Drive at Royal Windsor and drive up the Long Walk to Windsor Castle and back ! I have always fancied doing this and would love a photo coming back down the Long Walk with the Castle behind us ! · Win the “Welsh D” class at the BDS Championships · Photo on front page of “Carriage Driving” magazine ! · Drive at HOYS ! (Yeh right ! In my dreams ! ) Some of these are easier done than others ! Some I hope to do in the next year or two ! ;-) (GY, Windsor, RW etc !) Others I cant see ever happening ! | ||

I'm glad to see that having a driving lesson is in H&H's top ten of 35 things to do before you die... What do you think our bucket list should be, as carriage drivers? I'd definitely have "drive a four-in-hand". (Perhaps the last one should be "book a horse-drawn hearse"?) |
