So Raehills Horse Driving Trials is over for another year. What an amazing weekend. Many thanks to the competitors who traveled from far and wide to support the Event. And a huge thank you to the entire team at Raehills - the credit and the fabulous feedback is entirely due to you!
The weather was interesting, but the heaviest downpours happened in the breaks! Lots of smiling faces, very few damp spirits.
Marathon day was peaceful - no eliminations, no incidents, just hard and fast competition and good fun.
Some very close classes - the Open Single Horse was particularly competitive - which bodes well for future teams.
Huge congratulations to Angela Flanagan, who was crowned British Carriagedriving Advanced Horse Pairs Champion 2015.
And well done to Sonny Hillier who gained maximum points for Selection for Team GB in the Advanced Single Horse class.
Congratulations to Jen Bernard, Sarah Bower, Kate Upsall, Amanda Hawley, Lyndsey Brown and Gordon Watson who all qualified for the British Carriagedriving National Championships in September.
The Raehills Challenge on Saturday evening provided great fun and raised a fantastic £500 for Macmillan Nurses. I'm blown away by the generosity and kindness within our sport.
Fabulous photos of all phases of the Event and of the Raehills Challenge on http://www.takenphotography.co.uk/photocart/index.php…
Photos of the Challenge continue to raise more money for Macmillan, so please get yours ordered.

Thanks for a fabulous weekend Louise and team. Realise is a marvellous event and although it was occasionally a bit damp it didn't spoil the fun and frolicking. As many said it is a pity that the fun we had is not the same at the other events. A target has been set and the young people who were so involved in the activities will have to see if they can't make it happen at other shows. Looking forward to next years already.

Due to the wonderful generosity of one of our sponsors, the Start Fees will be paid for the first ten Novice (Horse or Pony) entries. Those already entered will have their Start Fees refunded. There are still a couple of slots available, so if you're swithering, get your entry in!

Raehills Event is definitely going ahead. With Selection class for Advanced Single Horse and the National Championships for Advanced Horse Pairs (still time to qualify at Allerton and Goodwood!).
Late entries accepted until Friday 17th.
A relaxed friendly event in a fabulous setting. The Showground is only 5 minutes from the motorway on an easy road with wide easy access.
The message is simple "Use it, or lose it".
Stewards still urgently required, please contact Geoff Atkins.
