The news of Terry Bailey life so cruelly cut short has been hard to comprehend. Terry a successful businessman, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was also passionate about horses and driving. Prior to competing in British Carriage Driving Terry and his wife Terri competed with Hackneys, here in the UK and also Holland. Looking for a new challenge they took up Driving trials. I remember John looking at some photos of Terry winning with his horse Ben at Elvenden and saying “ I need to up my game” !! Terry had numerous wins with Ben and was immensely proud of winning Sandringham National two years running. The next horse he had success with was the lovely grey Reno, who took him into Open and Advance classes. Unfortunately due to various set backs Terry missed the National Championships on several occasions. And again only 3 weeks ago, won the Open Horse at Ashfield's with his new young horse Del Boy, very sadly the day he was taken ill. John and I had the pleasure of enjoying Terry's company on many occasions and it wont be the same without him. |
