Not quite right Martyn, you are quoting 911.2.1 and this applies only to singles. Article 911.2.2 states: "There is no minimum height limit for ponies at National Events" In any case my interest lies in what size a SMALL pony is.

Article 911 of BHDTA rulebook states that minimum height for a pony is 120cm without shoes or 121cm with shoes. This is for Nationals, clubs including the Indoor are free to choose their own height limits.

I think a small pony is 42 inches and under and so it seems do others on this part of the forum with Sycamore Fabrications awarding rosettes to this size in the Indoor competitions.
Next we have Rita Bundock presenting a Small pony Challenge trophy Indoors for her very good reasons to small ponies up to 11hh.
Then the latest In Harness magazine arrived in the post this morning with an advert for 2day event at The David Broom Event Centre with a Small Pony class for animals up to 12.2
Perhaps the BHDTA should become involved and set a definitive height in the rules for a Small Pony, did'nt there used to be one a few years back?
