Driving a cones course clear is in every driver's dreams – and the better you understand the cones competition and the story behind it, the better you can drive and enjoy it.
This evening's presentation and practical fun demonstration gives insight into everything you should know about any cones course before you walk it, with an emphasis on BC-affiliated competitions.
The rules are explained as well as the marking, scoring, correct measurement, speeds and times.
Get some golden tips on how to judge angles, use the arena and vary speed at the right places, and how to avoid getting penalties - from what you wear to what you do.
Find out how to cope when things go wrong, and how to practise and plan for success.
Learn what the officials’ roles are and get to grips with the rules.
After attending the course you will have a greater understanding of how to drive any cones course successfully, how to apply your skills with your own horse or pony, and an appreciation of what is involved in the cones competition and the people who run it.
