I am really disappointed about the King of the Cones competition this year. To us this is a great idea, a brilliant trophy and something really worth trying to achieve. At the beginning of the season we looked at the rules located underneath the table at no time has this said certain events are not included. It said all nationals and regional qualifiers were eligible. My daughter Nadia Hughes, entered 3 of these and won the cones in all 3. We have been told by northernplan they won't include the Windsor regional win with a time of 40 seconds under the optimum time, even though Windsor have kindly submitted the result. I would have no problem with certain events not counting IF these were listed in the rules. I feel disappointed for Nadia that all her results can't show and she won't receive any recognition. She hasn't asked me to write this and might even tell me off, but I personally think it is unfair and just don't understand the problem. Really happy to hear what you all think, whatever way your opinion goes. |
