Thanks for that Mike. The FEI Rule Book is also available to download from our own site - it's in the Reference section. Our own 2009 Rule Book is nearly ready and will also be on the website. Paper copies and binders will be available to purchase from our Merchandise section or by phoning the office. We are currently negotiating with the printers and prices should be available soon. Also, don't forget that there's going to be a Rules Clinic on 18th January at Lowton, near Haydock Park Race Course. This will be taken by International Judge Diana Brownlie, Chairman of the Rules Committee Ian Douglas and Philip Bateman. They will explain the changes, new rules and differences between BHDTA and FEI rules. It is open to anyone interested - drivers as well as event organisers, stewards and officials. To book a place, please phone the office. Vic
Please consider the environment before you start printing out lengthy documents. The FEI rule book is 66 pages and the 2007 BHDTA rule book, with all the annexes and amendments is 320 pages !! |

The new rules for FEI 2009 have now appeared on the FEI website click here to read. Changes appear to include that it's no longer compulsory to carry a whip on the marathon. I expect these will take some digesting and that will be helped by the BHDTA planned presentation in January, announced at the conference. this is an unofficial comment to draw your attention to published data |
