From memory the hairy cobs as you put it are the Irish cobs. Madam has a tad fetlock hair nothing major & she's bay. To date I have only been used for pleasure driving. I'm non mareish I'm excellent in the stable to be handled I come to catch good to shoe, clip actually I have no vices... I can be driven by in-experienced driver or experienced driver, I've also been handled & driven by paraplegic driver (prev exp Horsewoman)I would love to have the opputunity to do more driving that is..... I am also a Ride & Drive pony though the last several years I've predomitally driven. I'm ridden out alone or in company no problem. I'm driven through town next to dual carriage, narrow lanes - I'm a good girl mother says "I'm special"....
