David Taylor
Posted on Monday, 18 August, 2008 - 11:34 am:

David Taylor will attempt to be the first to complete a full National HDT with a Random of three horses (in line) without being eliminated. There will be no concessions, the same dressage tests as other Horse Tandems including the one handed movements, the same marathon obstacles, and the same cones course with the horse tandem speeds, distance and track allowances.
A Sweepstake will be running to raise money for the Supporters Club and for Driving for the Disabled (please express any preference with your stakes)
Place your Bets £5.00 for each prediction, as many as you like - the closest and next closest to the dressage score, the Cross-Country score, and the Cones scores achieved, will receive cash wins. For two hundred pounds staked, the winners would receive £40, the runners up £20 and pro-rata, the rest will go to the above good causes.
Northernplan photographers are expected to video the attempt, including using a head cam.
Stakes post-marked before 2.30pm Saturday 23rd will be accepted and you can place you bets at Normanshurst.
Additionally if you want to, you can go for the total final score; Plus David is offering a "day of multiple mayhem" for anyone who gets the exact score overall. An invitation for a day, open to any driver from novice and upwards, to have a hands on driving experience with his horse tandem and a program of driving to suit the winners experience (if any) and lunch or dinner at his home in Bury St Edmunds.
Further details Tel: 07771 902027
Stakes c/o Miss Rita Bundock,15 Hollow Lane, Canterbury,Kent, CT1 3SB
For those who wish to follow form before betting - David's detailed results are on the BHDTA website for Brighton, Farleigh, Caton, Sandringham, Erddig and Lowther.
Please support this attempt – it is believed to be an UK first, probably an European first and even a World first if successful!
