Thankyou for all the advice, I have since been looking at suppliers of new harnesses as used ones seem to be scarce.

Zilco...you can change all the bits and get replacements very easily. I use mine daily and it wears really well. Very easy to re sell too.

Hi does anyone have any advice on which harness I should get? My horse is being broken to drive and I like look of either a Zilco classic or an Ideal harness. I am new to carriage driving but have always had leather riding tack-just dont fancy all that cleaning!
It's quite expensive starting out so I dont want to make any mistakes and one harness that does everything is probably cheaper than an everyday one and a best?
many thanks
