I agree with Janet and Theresa. Yearbook both useful and informative and electronic version v slow to download. Also looking forward to seeing my photo as Novice Pony Points League Winner. Imagine my disappointment when I finally get to see the photos and find a very nice photo of Rosemary Wall not me! Double disappointment! |

I agree with Janet. After falling foul to the rules Derrick and I didn't get to compete at Windsor last year, but as far as I am aware he was Fenix points champion and would have had his well deserved picture in the yearbook. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the yearbook along with insurance was part of the membership fee. It is alot easier to grab the yearbook if you need a quick bit of info, rather than firing up the computer and trawling the website. |

I agree with Janet, no training, no future members. Shepway HC applied for training last year and had to wait a year to be told paperwork had been lost, so still no funding for a hard pressed club whose affiliation fees have been put up. What are the benefits if no yearbook either? |

As the Welsh National Horse Driving Trials (Erddig) organiser I would hope that BHDTA could at least put out paper copies of the remaining schedules to ALL members - not everyone has access to the Internet, and I, like all the other National and Regional organisers, rely on the Year Book to get to ALL our prospective competitors. How on earth are we expected to run a well supported event and balance the books if some of the membership does not even know the dates of this year's events? |

Well we did send in our copy for our advertisement and asked to be invoiced for this after an evening phone call asking us to advertise and although we are members agreed to advertise to support the BHDTA so have been waiting with baited breath!! What was the delay? Ian and Frances Collings - Jack in a Box |

A cheaper version of the Yearbook would have done. It does not have to be a glossy expensive affair if the advertisers were not there to fund it. Why also were we not informed of the situation in January - when the Yearbooks should have been sent out. How can we enter events early to help organisers when we don't have access to schedules and dates? Not everyone has access to the internet. |

Typical - probably the one and only chance I get at being National Champion and I don't even get to see my pic in the Year Book! Are we going to have one next year or are we looking at an alternative? What about all those members who don't compete at Windsor - what do they get for their money? And what is wrong with the obstacles at Windsor? I think they're great! Why not just give all of the faithful a rebate next year? There is a lot going on just now to encourage new blood into the sport - not so much to reward those who have been slogging their way up the ranks for yonks. What about putting the money saved into the training budget so that members who are trying to improve their performances get a bit of help? We won't win medals by building obstacles - we need more funding for training and support for those going to selection events and representing their country. God, I'm getting old! |

Hi Julie, Unfortunately I have made the decision to cancel the printing of the yearbook. Due to the lack of advertisers the yearbook was going to cost the BHDTA a considerable sum of money which I decided was not in the best interest of our members especially as we are now so far into the driving season. I felt that rather than losing money on the yearbook it would be better if that money was used for other purposes such as improving the obstacles at Windsor. I have asked Vic to post a statement explaining what alternative arrangements are being made instead of the normal yearbook and hopefully this statement will be on the website soon.
