Hi Janet I’m afraid this one is my fault! We were having a few issues with the previous date of the AGM (13th October) and we were also looking to give the AGM / Conference and Evening Entertainment a whole new look to encourage more members to attend. An opportunity arose at Addington Manor E.C. that was basically too good to turn down, and at a price that was unlikely to be matched by anyone! The downside was that the event would only work if it was held in conjunction with their Premier Show Jumping event. There are only a handful of events at this level in the Country each year so it wasn’t as simple as waiting for their next one. In fact, I think their next one will be in 2013. It is such a nuisance that it clashes with the Scottish Dinner Dance, and I can only apologise to everyone that it will cause problems for. If there was a way of changing it I would, but this year it just won’t be possible. Hopefully, next year we can sort the date our earlier to everyone can try and avoid clashing. | ||

Very disappointed to see that the annual conference is changing dates this year - it will clash with the SCDA Annual Dinner Dance so there will be a lot of people who won't be able to come down. We come to the conference every year but we can't be in two places at the same time - such a pity and I'm sure this could have been avoided. |
