A Countryside Race Evening supporting CDSGdd (Carriage Driving Sports Group for drivers with disabilities) and HSF (Hunt Staff Fund) will take place at Southwell Racecourse on Friday 20th April 2012. The event will include an auction, lurcher racing and a parade of hounds in between races and will feature the Inter Hunt Charity Flat Race and a Hunter Chase. Lucy Barclay, a CDSG-dd driver who's helping to organise the event said, "We're thrilled that Southwell is supporting us in our fundraising efforts. All monies received will be put to good use for the Para World Championships campaign. It would be great if we could get sponsors to come forward early and give the Race Evening a head start." This is the package that race sponsors will get: To choose a six word race title which will appear in the national press and is broadcast on the ‘At the Races’ Channel; A full page advert in the race card; The opportunity to display a banner in front of the Grandstand at the winning post which will be picked up and broadcast on ‘At the Races’; 4 Premier Tickets which gain access to the members area on the first floor of the Grandstand; To be escorted into the parade ring to pick the best turned out horse and present that prize and to present the prize to the winning owner after the race and join them for celebratory Champagne.
