I had a woman emailing me asking loads of questions but making no offer of coming to see the pony and then asking for photographs of saddles and bridles so I got very suspicious (and didn't send the photos) and then she said she lived on a remote Scottish island and wanted to buy my pony unseen and would send someone to collect him. When I said I could not allow him to go to someone I had not met and anyway I would need cash, I got an email containing a torrent of abuse for having wasted her time and heard no more. |

Hi Terry I have had this. Had a horse advertised for sale I had one woman kept emailing me saying she wanted the horse if I sent her my address to send me a bankers cheque then she would get the horse picked up by a transporter on the day of receiving the bankers cheque or the day after. I told her it was a cash sale only and heard no more from her. People who use the internet to advertise gets bombarded with people like this some where along the line.. |

I have items for sale on the forum and with Dragon Driving. I was contacted on Sunday by a woman who said her mother bred Welsh ponys in France and wanted carriages to start her driving school I gave her my address for her to come and see. In the back of my mind I seem to remeber this story.I called a friend who said that I would be given a bankers cheque that was'nt worth the paper it was printed on. I emailed the woman back saying if she did want to buy it would be a purely cash transaction. I received a reply that due to commitments she was no longer able to come. Speaks volumes to me. Has anybody had similar? |
