The David Broadbent Memorial Silver Salver.
The BHDTA CONFERENCE.
Cynthia and I were jointly Presented with the Salver by our Chairman yesterday.
I wish to record our Thanks for such a nice gesture. It crowns for us both what many of you know to be our very long service to the sport.....our very many years of vicarious enjoyment of your sport. We had the pleasure of knowing David and Paddy well....hosted by them....joining as founder members HIS Carriage Drivers Supporters Club as it was entitled. I am not too certain the mechanics of selection....We are both thrilled to have been chosen and to appear "engraved" amongst splendid frinds. Thank you. There are other matters upon which I wish to write....they must not mar this expression of thanks.Derrick WHITING. |
