Thanks, Janet, that's very encouraging and helpful, I will continue to use my cart while I keep my eyes open for a suitable replacement.

How heavy? Heavy for you to push or move around? You might just feel it is heavy but your cob should be well able to pull the cart as long as the surface isn't deep. I have a 13.2 vanner and he is incredibly strong. They were bred for power and stamina - I think your cob should be fine however if you can lay your hands on a second hand Bellcrown, Fenix or Bennington, they are all good makes and easily serviced and will still be an investment even if elderly.

Hi, I am a novice driver with a traditional cob of 14 hands. At the moment, my aspirations are to just plod gently around the fields. I have an old Henry Bowers exercise cart on car tyres, it has a low centre of gravity, which I like, but it is quite heavy.
I would be really grateful for any advice on a suitable vehicle.
Thank you.
