We recommend Woofwear Kevlar over reach boots from our veterinary practice and find they are extremely good. XL will fit 17.2hh Irish Draught and reach down to the floor, L will fit 16hh to 16.2hh very comfortably. They are the only robust big ones we have found that acutally protect the back of the shoe rather than just the bulb of the heel. Newitts is the best place we have found to get them. |

I used Davis no turn bell boots. These are American I think but available here in normal colours plus neon and glitter! Not cheap but I found they stayed in place really well and looked smart after a lot of wear. I am not sure about very big sizes, however they do XL. |

Crikey Janet! You're treading on thin ice here- that's two trade names you've mentioned in one posting! You'll be getting an invoice if you're not careful! Seriously though, I've been pleased with Robinson's touch-tape ribbed bell boots. Just replaced a pair that have lasted over 2 years doing marathons etc and only replacing them because the colour has faded slightly. They are nice and soft round the top so don't rub but tough enough to stand the rigours of wear. Just my humble opinion! |

What are the most popular over reach boots for horses? Ours don't have massive feet but I struggle to find over reach boots large enough. I bought four pairs of XL Premier Equine boots as I like the style but they look like pony size on them! Mark Todd ones fit but I feel they are too flimsy and don't last although they're not extortionate. Rubber bell boots rub and the ones with the buckle type fastening are too fiddly - any recommendations please? |
