Dawn, People can move up classes during a season if they get placed high and if they want to: For instance an Intermediate can move up to Open as soon as they qualify for the National Intermediate championships, or finish in the top 3 in intermediate three times. Similarly from Novice to Intermediate and similarly but slightly different from Open to Advanced..... or of course if you drive a multiple, etc... The rules are a bit detailed - you can find them at http://www.horsedrivingtrials.co.uk/reference/class_structure.htm (the BHDTA site, ref section) or in the rule book. Personally I like it simpler ..... |

I was browsing the Points league and noticed that some are in both the Novice and Internediate or In the Intermediate and Open. I thought you were only to enter a class to which the BHDTA had placed you? Such as I am an Intermediate driver so thought I'd only be allowed to enter Internediate classes. Could someone please explain to me about this as I'm totally confused. Thanks |
