hi my mother and i have young ponies with the aspiration to drive them jut one small problem not sure where to go, one of the ponies have been long reigned on road in full harness and was an angel he also walks over corrogated metal and on occaion water (a working progress), but everything we are doing is out of books and so far so good, but we believe we are starting a new bit and need a mentor to guide us, or if have own yard we could rent stables and learn from that person (between us we have 5 ponies which four of them are to be brokern to drive), so if anyone out there in basildon or surrounding areas could help us we would be grateful.

Horse Driving Trials is not quite the same as scurry, if you explore the website including pictures you will understand. Eadt Anglian Carriage Driving Group have a Junior training Clinic on the 18th and 19th of June and sometimes it is possible to buddy up with a junior driver to groom and drive yourself. Look at www.eacdg.co.uk and at front page of BHDTA website now showing details of clinic at Stowe-on -the-Wold, again where there may be scope for aspirants without horses. Where about in Essex do you live - if you give an approximate location a young driver may well get in touch with you.
