I am glad you enjoyed the blob. I am just sorry that it came out so late each night, but I did not have time to write it until I got back to the hotel, and it was sometimes around midnight by the time I had finished it (after a fight with my computer!).

But it was a fantastic event and Christian Iseli did a wonderful job with his designs for the obstacles and the cones course. There was not a single turnover on the marathon, which is amazing given the speed at which the obstacles were being driven, and very few eliminations.

Our GB 'mini' team did really well, after a disappointing start. Blame for Chef d'Equipe for the poor draw! It was unfortunate that both did Dressage on Thursday, although I don't suppose that Ian would have squeezed many additional points had he been on Friday in any case. But it did mean that they were later on the marathon when the ground had started to cut up (although luckily it never got really deep).

We had a great support team over in Pratoni, and thanks to everyone who came to help, in particular Boyd, Anja, Andrew and Jo, to the excellent marathon spotters, and also those who came to support. A special 'mention in despatches' must go to Ian's niece Alana who worked tirelessly all week and never stopped smiling! Thanks too, to Philip for his great photos. I have seen all his other fantastic shots. and hope that he puts them on the website.

At the time of writing, Ian and Pam are (hopefully) between Milan and Dijon where they will stop tonight.

By the way, I am hoping that I can find someone else to write the blog at Breda! Any volunteers?

I'll second that, Wendy! Also Good Luck to all the Juniors for their World Champs later this month.

Come on folks - why are we not congratulating Pam and Ian on a sterling effort? OK, so the results weren't as good as we had hoped but that doesn't mean the two of them haven't put in blood, sweat and tears to represent us. And for a 2-man (apologies Pam) team, to finish 12th of 18 ain't so bad and others did far worse.
Well done too, to the back-up support team and many thanks to Jill for the wonderful blog.
I'M proud of Pam and Ian and who knows how we would have done had we had three in the team - but that's horses for you.
Hope you'll all back the para-drivers as they set off for their World Championships at the end of the month - and with Jill acting as chef d'equipe we know we'll be kept up to date with a daily blog!
