The Road Haulage Association in conjunction with the BHS and Horse & Hound are running a Horse Transport training course covering "the various legal requirements affecting the transportation of equines in larger vehicles". Courses are being run in Bradford (25/1), Peterborough (16/2) and Edinburgh (8/3). The course lasts for three hours and costs £75 + Vat. Contact the RHA for more details and to book places: www.rha.uk.net or 01733 261456 I couldn't get their email to work, but I spoke to Paul Benns on the phone, who was nice, and helpful. Having seen the syllabus for the course, I cannot recommend this highly enough to all owners and drivers of horseboxes. |
