Thank you Bryan. It was a pleasure, although a very sad one, to organise the trophy in memory of a very special man. Cirencester was a very emotional weekend for many of us. It was wonderful that Mrs Terri could come, with two of their daughters and a grand daughter, to present the trophy. The trophy was won on this occasion by Sonny Hillier in the advanced horse class. Winning both the dressage and the marathon he was the only single horse competitor to achieve 2 points, all others had 3 or more. The scoring has been organised so that the trophy can be won by any single horse driver in any of the 4 classes. Over the previous 6 years it would have been won twice in each of the novice, intermediate and single classes. | ||

The TERRY BAILEY Memorial Trophy will be awarded to a Single Horse Competitor at the National Championships. The trophy can be won by any competitor in any of the 4 Single Horse classes. Placings (not penalties) in the dressage and marathon combined will determine the winner. Donated by the Singe Horse Class in memory of a much loved fellow competitor, it will be presented on Saturday evening and in the arena on Sunday. Patti Single Horse Class Representative. |
