Good idea Kerry, this has caused some confusion at our club too. I think the tests were updated when the name changed from BHDTA to BC, but the texts remained the same.

Don't worry. I've been on the British carriage driving website and looked at the novice 80 2013 test on there. It's exactly the same as the 2011. However, it might be worthwhile to put a note or something at the bottom of the entry forms as such explaining that for people who, like me, don't compete as often as they would like? Many thanks.

Hi Fiona thanks for that. The test for small pony at blandings is the novice 80 2013, unfortunately, the 2013 test isn't on the list of diagrams etc on the site. I've emailed Lorna about this. There is however a novice 80 2011.......

Hi, Kerry, the dressage test for each class is normally given in the schedule for the event. It may not be the same test at every event (but it frequently is).
Traditionally and so by default the pony's nose should be on the marker - some judges say, for example for the halt, the mark should be between his nose and front hooves. Some tests specify if it's something different, such as driver on centre line for a specific movement.
If I may offer a tip, always read the text of a dressage test as well as looking at the diagram because the whole text tells you the detail of what the judge is looking for.
Happy driving!

Hello everyone. Just a quick question or two. What dressage test shoukd a small pony do. It says BC NOVICE 80, 2013. But I remember doing the pre-novice with him last year. And is it nose or driver at the marker? Many thanks in advance.
