For my best results I use Sainsburys basic washing up liquid then wait for the carriage to dry off. Then use normal polish and a cloth to bring up a shine

Muc Off mountain bike cleaning range from Halfords, a bit more pricey but fantastic finish with less elbow grease !!!!

I usually clean mine with some sort of car wash/wax before events and also use

at events - you just wipe it on and polish it off, it seems to help stop mud sticking and shines up quite nicely!

I always just wash our carriage of with water and a cloth, but never get a good shine. Some of the carriages at the weekend looked really lovely, so I guess they are being cleaned with something else. but what? What do you use?
