Very sad, he was a great help to me at my first HDT event, so kind and helpful. |

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death on Thursday 13 March of Philip de Leon. Philip helped the BHDTA with Health and Safety rules and regulation for many years. He was seen at Brighton and Normanhurst HDT for many years, helping with course building, at the event as H&S officer, taking care of hospitality of sponsors, marathon day chuck wagon driver and many other unseen jobs. Philip was also instrumental in setting up The Indoor Carriage Driving Company. He was of terrific help to ICD in the early days. Always on hand and ready to assist and give sensible advice. He will be greatly missed by his many friends. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family and especially his wife, Carol. |
