Grimsthorpe Castle Estate, Nr Bourne Lincolnshire. The fun Charity drive is back after a very successful 2013 event! This year it will take place on Sunday, 4th May 2014 and there will be a choice of routes of either 5 or 10 miles. These routes will be decided by the estate but will be located within the park over the existing tracks and driveway, so that they will be totally on private roads with no public highways being used at all. Both routes for the carriages will include a section of the drive up to the Castle main gates, before turning off down the hill towards the lake.
The views across the 3,000 acres of the park laid out by Capability Brown will be absolutely fabulous from this vantage point as you drop down to the lake to complete the drive. The event is open to all but every turnout must show evidence of British Driving Society Membership Insurance or similar public liability cover.
If this is not available then the turnout will not be permitted to participate in the event.
The cost of entry is £20.00 per turnout for pre-entries which the Secretary receives by Tuesday 29th April 2014 and £25.00 for entries on the day. Please do come and support our event - you will not be disappointed!! Drive Secretary : Carrie Wright Bradstone House, 54 Glen Road, Castle Bytham NG33 4RJ Tel: 01780 411194 or Mob. 07747 700 666
