Hi Fiona, thanks for replying. I have spoken to Lorna and she has been a great help. Amanda is open driver of more than 3 years, but I would also like to attend training days with ollie too as I think it would be good for the both of us. I would love to go to the conference, but I work on Saturdays I would only be able to come for part of it. I'd like to learn more, not just for driving, but also for a backstepping side of it too :-) |

Hello, Kerry, welcome to the EACDG! Joe is right - you can enter the prenovice class - EACDG also runs a small pony class for ponies 11.2 and under. You can read the EACDG's 2013 yearbook online if you want more information about events, dressage tests and helpful hints - the 2014 yearbook will be available soon. You'll need an assessment with your pony and you can come on the training sessions for this or have your friend do it if she is a national open driver of three years experience. Why not come along to our conference, 1 March, at Ashfields? The dates of the other events are also on the EACDG website. Do call Lorna Ingram, 07855 451413, 01799 599594, Secretary - I'm sure she will be happy to answer your questions. I hope we'll see you soon! |

Hi Again Kerry Yes its pre novice. If you have not had an assessment before to be able to compete at the club you wish to drive with, you will need to contact the club to arrange this before entering any event.. |

Hi, I'm not completely new to this sport. I have back stepped several times and driven indoor before as well as attending a fun day at blandings last year. But this year will be the first time I compete my pony. The lady I backstep for drives open pony, but I'm aware that I will be driving small pony. I think it's the pre novice I will be driving, I just need confirmation. |

Hi, I'm hoping to start competing my 6 yr old 11.1 sec a this. I'm aiming to do the dressage and cones at ashfields in March. If I'm allowed to that is :-). But I'm confused as to which test we should be doing. If anyone could advise me I would really appreciate it. Thanks. |
