Speak to David Hodgson about wheels and rerubbering he's amazing!!! His number is 01900 61520, based just outside Workington, west Cumbria. He'll probably be able to advise on the bolts too. He used to build carriages and has done an amazing job altering mine to suit me!

I'm looking for some help/advice. My Bennington carriage is in desperate need of repainting, and whilst at it servicing. Unfortunatley I cant afford the time & money to take it down to Bennington for this, so I have started to take it to bits myself to get it repainted.
The first issue is that a nut was stuck on one of the U shaped bits of metal which hold the suspension in place, and it had to be grinded off - can these be sourced as parts or do you have to get them made? My second issue is I'm assuming that the tread needs to be removed from the wheels for painting? And thus is there anyone located near to me (Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire) who can re tread them?
Alternatively is there anyone closer who I could get a quote from to finish taking it to bits/service it and repaint it? Mechanics isnt my strong point!!
Thanks
