I would like to recommend Bob Maddams simply because his expertise in designing the A frame extension for my Ifor williams trailer is just superb and has made our lives so much easier when going to shows. As we live in France and where buying a trailer in England, this was quite difficult to arrange, but Mr Maddams very kindly helped us with the IW dealer and had the trailer ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We towed it from England to SW France fully laden and it towed extremely well.I do have photos and can email them if anyone is interested. |

I have a draw bar extension on the front of my trailer built by Mr Robert Maddams. He has made it exactly the way I wanted it, so it is quick and easy to use. I'm sure Robert would help you and go over any queries you have as I am more than happy with the work he has done for us. |

I have an Ifor Williams 510 with an extension on the front and i find it very easy and stable to tow.I tow it with either a Mitsibushi crew cab truck or a Discovery.I have towed it with no problems from Fife in Scotland to nearly Windsor!(maybe this year)! |

Hi, I looked at this a few years ago and spoke to Ifor Williams as I had recently bought a new classic trailer from them. They were very anti, as they said it puts to much stress and weight on your towing ball. I have known people who have tried alternatives and have found the trailer to be unsafe at speeds. I say this all with an open mind, as some people try to tow with to smaller vehicles. There are lots of people using this sytem and seem to get on with it ok. There are some nutters out there with strange contraptions and believe it or not, they are not all in the horse sport. good luck |

We have met people with these and the agent for Ifor Williams trailers - John Page Trailers, Biddenden, Kent was mentioned that they bought it from. Their website comes up if you put in their name on Google. That would give you the details to contact them and ask. Hope this helps. |

I would be a little concerned about the weight aspect, but I don't know what your friend is towing with. Where abouts are you? There are people within the sport who do this but how far are you prepared to travel? Chris. |

Steph A firm called Hillam used to produce carriages and a bolt on extension for Ifor W trailers, I cannot find their website so they may have stopped trading, but someone may be able to help with a tel number. |
