The rule is
919.6. Leverage Devices
All rings, terrets and/or other devices which have an
extreme leverage effect on the Reins or Bits are
forbidden at any time within the Driving Event
Location.

A BHDTA judge would need to confirm but I believe this means anything (including girth/bit/hand long lines: passoa: too tight side reins)

You mean using them as draw reins?

I assumed so- my sec D goes lovely after a session on the lunge set up like you say, but I always assumed they were in the category of training aid or you'd be seeing more of me this season... He's currently going like a stuck pig!! :D

Looking forward to te answer here- I was advised to try lunging him in draw reins after a lesson at a training weekend, and it most definitely works wonders for him!

If you run long lines through terrets to bit to girth?

I know no training aids are allowed at any competitions but is this. It's not actually another gadged on the horse to act in any such way as a training tool.

Your kind thoughts please
