You have the advantage over me as I have never been to Erddig whilst the Event was running! Have now done several site visits with a 500 mile round trip each time to familiarise myself with the site layout and the Staff. The Head Ranger, Parks and Gardens Manager and one of the tenant farmers that I met at the weekend are certain that with a spell of dry weather we will run, and all are of the opinion the long term forecast is for much drier conditions. They all seemed upbeat so I am simply ploughing on with the admin for over 100 entries and keeping everything crossed. We will, of course, make a decision about whether we run, or not, as early as we can, particularly as we have many competitors travelling long distances via ferries. Meantime - keep doing the "Sun dance!" |

Eileen, realistically, how likely is it that Erddig will run ? Having been there in a "normal" year, it was terrible wet and deep going, so heaven knows what state the ground is in this year. Cant make your job any easier ! |

Have acquired 2 foreign judges so that the Selection classes will also be Qualifying classes. Thank you to all the competitors who have entered - it was not raining at Erddig just now and long may it continue to remain dry. |
