Jon Tiplady in Martlesham does clincher re-rubbering, near Ipswich - worth a call to see if he still does it. 01394 383037 Don't know of anyone else... Anyone? Might be worth giving Linda Swain a call? (BDS Beds, Herts). Do let us know?

Hi Fiona

Do you know anyone local to Hertfordshire that is able to put new rubber on wooden fenix flyer wheels?

Thanks
Sam

(Assuming it's a stuck on tyre and not a clincher?) Try Eastern Vulcanising Services - Ray Bax, I think, Diss, 01953 681 889. He has fixed mine on with varying degrees of success. If the rubber has stretched, it can be glued back on but does not always stay on that well because it's too big for the wheel, despite Ray's best efforts. Best to get it fixed asap before it gets worse. (I have driven there with wheels and also sent wheels to him by courier.)

Best is to get it hot vulcanised: there's someone in Bedford can do it, possibly - but I haven't tried them, also someone else whose details I have somewhere...

The rubber tyre on a steel wheel has come loose , no obvious damage just doesn't hold on tight anymore , any pointers as to how to get it tight again ? thanks!Tim
