Hopetoun is FAB. Really good roads from England! - motorway the whole way from the south or west. Wonderful event with great marathon, lovely hazards, excellent arenas, drink, food and fun. There is also terrier jumping and racing and a drinks do and dance. GET UP THERE. |

To see the allocation of qualifying and selection events for Team GBR for the upcoming World Championships, click on "Points tables" in the left hand menu and then go to Team GBR selection. |

Carole, you are correct. A win in any class at a National event qualifies the turnout for the National Championships at Windsor. Jane is referring here to International qualifiers. Those with ambitions to be selected for Team GB need to achieve a certain dressage score in front of international judges (with all horses, in the case of multiples), and complete the event without elimination. These are only for the Advanced classes. |

Jane, please forgive my ignorance- I am new to Nationals- but what are the Qualifying classes for? I thought a win in any class at a National Qualified you for the Championships? Or are you referring to Qualification for something else? Just that we're thinking of entering Hopetoun ( Nov Horse ) but it's a long way to go ( from Cheshire ) if there's no opportunity to have a go at Qualifying! Again, sorry for being thick! |
