A big thank you to everyone concerned for putting on the Stewards Day; Ian Douglas, Jean Lane,Mike Watts, Ashfields and Maxine who willingly played guinea pig driving endlessly through the obstacle while we practiced our hold ups, timing, gate sequence etc! Food was great too!! Given that so many people are involved with stewarding it was surprising to see so few attending. Those who did attend had a vast range of experience, from very new and nervous to those having assisted at International level, proving it was suitable for all, either as a learning tool or refresher. One thing I realised above all else is that stewards do need to keep up to date with the rules, if only to prevent panic setting in if something out the ordinary happens! There may have been a variety of reasons for people not attending but you missed a good day. | ||
