Mike - many thanks for all your work on the Forum, which is very much appreciated. I hope that with the new features, the numbers of "forgotten password" queries you were having to deal with will be very much reduced. On a similar note, we have had to change our on-line payment system for memberships, merchandise and clinic bookings. Due to security restrictions placed on us by the payment card industry, it is no longer possible to use the old system. We have changed over to PayPal who provide on-line payment services. You can use any of the common credit cards for your payments or, if you have a PayPal account, you can use that also. The confirmation emails from the new system are more comprehensive, giving more information about the transaction. Can we remind everyone to make sure you type your own email address carefully when you are asked for it. This is used to send your confirmation and we have had a number of people querying their payment recently because the confirmation could not be delivered due to a mis-typed email address. The new system has been introduced for membership renewal payments and will gradually be implemented for merchandise, clinic booking and other payments. Vic BHDTA website |

The forum is now updated. The main changes are: - you get an Upload Attachment button for new messages, so you can include files - useful for event schedules etc. Caution; only open attachments that look safe and are from people you recognise - if you forget your forum password, use the link 'click here to reset' to sort it out automatically - the system will send you an update email - Edit Profile above lets you change your email address (and upload a picture if you wish..). The system keeps your email address private just for password reminders etc, so if you want people to know it you can include it in a posting. Any problems, please let me know. |

The forum will be having some essential maintenance, planned from Monday afternoon (10th Jan) until the end of Tuesday (11th). During the update you will be able to read postings as usual, but not post new material. It should all look and work the same afterwards, except for improvements, including especially making it possible to include attachments with posts - documents, spreadsheets, schedules etc), and it will be easier to attach pictures. Sorry I need to turn off posting while updating, but it's safer that way, and I hope the improvements will be helpful, Mike |
