Hi Neil check that the harness is adjusted level on both sides and check that the traces are level as they can stretch unevenly over time. See that your reins are level if you are right handed you could be asking her to the right with out knowing you are doing it. See that the blinkers are clear and not leaning or touching her eyes or left eye. Check for any rubs on her harness coat erea. Long rein her in a paddock between 2 long lines of poles on the ground 6ft apart leave a loose reins light contact ask her to move on and see if she walks in a straight line or moves to the right. |

Neil, have you had her teeth checked? I would also suggest getting a physio to check her out too. try to eliminate physical problems and also get someone to check you have the harness / carriage set up to fit her as she may have changed physically as you've driven her more and something is not fitting correctly now as she's changed shape. where do you live - i'm sure a local driver would be happy to come and have a look to give you some help. ruth |

Hope someone can help. I'm new to driving I have a good thick set cob when I bought her she drove quite good, I would say a bit forward going but no real problems. Then she started to pull very heavely over to the right, in fact so much that I had to use both hands on the left rein to keep her going over to the wrong side of the road. The blacksmith cannot see anything wrong!! |
