Hi Sherri, We used a Bateson Derby with a carriage extension on the front. Really lightweight and easy to use. We have sold that and are now putting an extension on the front of our Ifor 510, a big 2 horse trailer with a tackpack at the front. Both worked really well and are cheap to maintain. We have just bought an awning from showshelters for our trailer and a water carrier that bolts on the side so it might not be a lorry but it is really useable and not a poor relation! |

Sheri we use an Ifor Williams HB601. It will take a carriage and 2 horses / ponies. We sold our lorry and have used this trailer for the past 3 years now and have no regrets. there is storage space at the front for tack etc. The thing you need to consider is the towing capacity of your vehicle so check that out before any purchase and know what weight you are capable of towing and the weight of the trailer and it's capacity as that is what you would be measured against if challenged [ even if it's only got a shetland in] it's what it's capable of towing. These trailers are becming more popular as they are low maintainance and cheaper to run than a lorry. where do you live? you are welcome to come and see ours - we are at Grangewood this weekend, Ruth |

Hi all, I'm new to driving and at the same time am selling my little lorry and will be looking for a trailer in the near future. My question is what trailers do you all use to transport your horse and carriage? Thanks in advance |
