Just for information, Bennington say it's ok to have 2spacers one side and 1 the other. So we are cured! Thank you to all who have offered their advice to me, over this, and other topics. I'm sure I'll continue to need your help, but thank you so very much. |

I took mine to a local farm engineering firm and they sorted it out for me. I was lucky because the owners had an interest in antique farm machinery and thought I (or my shafts) came into that category. I am in Essex if you need to use him. |

Thank you Steph, I will pursuade hubby to help me have a look at them if what we have done is not OK. What can I do if they are odd? Do I have to buy new ones? Or can they be re-done? |

Have you tried taking both shafts off and putting them next to each other to see if they are both bent the same. I caught one of the shafts from my buccaneer competitor on a tree during a competition which resulted in it bending to quite a different angle to the other. This however was not obvious when it was on the vehicle. |

The carriage is like a Bennington buccaneer, not the intro2, sorry. It has the adjustment handle at the back. If anyone CAN MAKE ANY SENSE OUT OF MY QUESTION! I would be really grateful! thankyou. Z |

Hi, i have a bennington Intro2, my first carriage. One of the shafts has been too low since we bought it second hand, and despite our best efforts just rotating the swan neck shafts hasn't been able to bring them to anything near the same height from the ground. They were about 3-4cms different and not sitting properly in the tugs, one side was always pulling on my pony whilst the other floated, nicely balanced. My husband and I decided to try taking out one of the 'spacers' at the back,(I don't know the tech terms!)next to the adjusting handle. This resulted in the low shaft being raised and now seems to be correctly placed. Are we unwittingly causing other problems by having 2 spacers one side and just one on the other? Sorry if it's a no-brainer! I am a bit of a newbie-! |
