Our local saddlers have lightweight mats for sale £47ea 6x4. I can lift two at same time!!! Towerfarm Saddlers (Rugby Warks) 01788572929. We will be getting them for new lorry, and then use them at comps in stabling. Hope this helps!!

I have lightweight mats from Isle of Man Farm at Croston, in Lancashire. You can get thick or thin, 6 by 4 and they stand up to stable wear just like the heavy ones. Their number is 01704 823215. I don't know whether thet have agents near you.

Hi Julie
Try http://www.horsemat.co.uk/default.htm They do all sorts of rubber matting The one for grass in gateways - sort of mesh is very light weight and does fine in temporary stabling. Their prices are good too - based at Sudbury in Suffolk
