LOSING WINDSOR perhaps should READ WINDSOR LOSING. UNFORTUNATELY IN A RECESSION AND WITH LITTLE TO NO PUBLIC ATTRACTED TO VIEW THE SHOW WE MUST MOVE ON I BELIEVE IT HAS BEEN LOSING MONEY FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND BEING SUBSIDIZED BY THE ASSOCIATION. THERE WAS EVEN TALK OF NOT HAVING THE VICTORIA ENCLOSURE THIS YEAR DUE TO IT NOT BEING VIABLE. LETS ENJOY THE NEW VENUE SELECTED. FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND NEW IDEAS OF HOW TO MAKE WINDSOR ATTRACTIVE MAY HAVE US BACK TO THIS LOVELY VENUE ONE DAY. |

I'm sure Ashfields is an excellent venue, but too lose a prestigious venue such as the Great Park just strikes me as very slightly Barmy. |

I do agree with you Sue it has always been a highlight of the National Season competing at Windsor which we have looked forward to and will be sadly missed. |

I am amazed that no body has commented on the loss of Windsor Great Park as our venue for the Championships. St Fort was fun, and Cirencester was very good; but Windsor just has that special sense of occation and it is realy worth while working hard to get there. Just being in the park is wonderful, even when we had Concorde taking off at 11am everyday!! It is a very sad loss and I pray one day we will be back. I hope the members of the Windsor Park Equestrian Club fully appreciate where they are able to drive, and that more people will join our unique club. |
