le trec type activities are always fun and they're very good for improving your driving skills whilst still being good fun for both you and your pony!
and yes i think team games ( like mounted games) would be excellent fun and maybe frank the british young drivers could try something like that as well?

Hi, sadly I am no longer a junior driver (just by a couple of years!) and I don't live near you, but....something we used to do which was great fun was mounted games, but in carriages. This was very good as it meant we needed half as many ponies as people (you can all swop over as long as everyone can drive) - and if you get your local pony club on board then it means you can use their equipment, and they get to see how amazing carriage driving is! You can also have them as very skilled carriers of water and potatoes or whatever!!
Handy pony comps are similar, but better for less experienced/younger people as you go on your own so the pony is not tempted to race, but you can all be in teams and do it as a relay so that you still get a communal 'buzz'!
I hope you all have lots of fun xx
