I bought a bamboo whip. Think it is still made by Fleck which is much better. Also check that you have the right length. I have one which I bought at the beginning and used it the other day for the first time in ages. I found it way too heavy! Depending on what you are wanting it for - types of turnout/competition - there will be different rules as to the length. You may be able to get away with a much shorter one than you think, which will help your shoulder. As long as you can use it safely of course.

Can anyone recommend a light weight driving whip. I am struggling with the ligaments in my right shoulder and am finding my current Fleck whip heavy.
