Not all necessarily in same place though! Farrier set fire to hay and straw barn, but at least horses were safe ! Just suggest everybody sets fire to old rug and see what I mean at least if it makes us all more safety conscious, has me !

Same goes for hay, Straw, Shavings and old dry wooden stables. So unless you install a sprinkler system your doomed.

Are these necessary? Last weekend I had clear out of some old (4yrs or less) rugs and had bonfire. I was horrified at how quick they flared up and the thick putric smoke that ensued. In a stable or enclosed space no horse or human would stand a chance of escaping let alone surviving.
