Exciting New Event for Carriage Driving! A new, fun carriage drive, totally away from the public highway, will take place on Sunday 6th May, 2012 through the magnificent setting of Grimsthorpe Park, not far from Stamford in Lincolnshire. Turnouts will be able to enjoy a pleasure drive through this stunning setting using some of the 3,000 acres of the park laid out by Capability Brown., including part of the main drive up to the Castle with its magnificent views down to the lake and across the park. The drive will be raising money to help maintain the fabric of the village churches and makes an equally sizeable contribution to a different charity every year. This year, we will be supporting 2012 Olympic Para Medal hopeful, Emma Sheardown, based at Hough-on-the –Hill near Grantham, Para dressage rider Emma is already World Freestyle Para Dressage World Champion, clinching the Grade 1a Freestyle title in Kentucky during October 2010. The fee is £25 per turnout and your entry must be pre-booked with the secretary – there will be no entries on the day. For more information and entry details contact Rosemary on 01778 590350, email rosemary.player@ppbid.com, or visit the event website at http://www.bccride.com |
